Who are Becca and Brooke?

We’re glad you asked!  Becca and Brooke are the creative forces behind the ideas and inspiration on Chevron & Stripe.  Learn more about each of us as individuals right here.  Alas, we have a lot in common but we aren’t conjoined twins.

What brought Becca and Brooke together as blogging partners?

Both girls have a mutual love of their mother’s recipes, pretty and interesting photography, little details and getting creative.  Becca and Brooke also happen to be close gal pals and neighbors. 

Do you have day jobs?

Oh yes.  We are both Executive Assistants by day.  Hopefully one day that will change as we pursue our passions.  Either way we are thankful for all of our jobs whether they be paid or unpaid.  We also have both pursued our own side businesses – Becca has established a growing and promising photography business and Brooke has monetized one of her favorite hobbies as a calligrapher. 

What is Chevron and Stripe?  What is the meaning behind the name?

Chevron and Stripe is a blog written to inspire creativity in your everyday life with simple, budget friendly and fun ideas.  We hope that our posts inspire ideas for events from a movie night with your girlfriends, to a couple’s dinner party to a 200 person wedding.  We love it all! 

Chevron and Stripe (the name) comes from the idea of clean elements of design.  That and it had a nice ring to it. J

Where do you get inspired?

Everywhere.  Literally.  A favorite activity is just going to the craft store with no idea in mind and coming out of there with $10.00 worth of stuff and making it into something unique and interesting.  We are also inspired by a multitude of cooking, décor and event blogs and of course the people that we love.
